At Sweet Dandelion, each piece of jewelry and décor starts with a beautiful, real flower. I take great care in preserving these delicate blooms, capturing their natural beauty in a way that allows them to last for years to come.
Selecting Flowers
Every piece begins with handpicked flowers. I carefully choose blooms that are vibrant and healthy so that each one is able to be transformed into a stunning, lasting work of art.
Preservation
All of our flowers are first dried in one of two ways:
Pressing: Flattening the flowers between layers to retain their delicate shape and color. This process can take anywhere from one to four weeks.
Silica Drying: Using silica sand to gently dry the flowers while maintaining their natural three-dimensional form. Depending on the type of flower, this process takes one to three weeks.
Once the flowers are dried, they are encased in a protective layer of UV resin. This not only locks in the color of the flower but also strengthens it for everyday wear. Each piece is carefully sealed to ensure it remains as vibrant as the day it was picked.
Crafting the Jewelry
The preserved and flowers are then transformed into unique jewelry pieces. From earrings and necklaces to pendants and decorative items, every item is crafted by hand— ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike.
The result is a piece of wearable art that preserves the natural beauty of real flowers.
